The opening of an exposition «Zero Waste Beach» jointly with Coca-Cola in Russia

The opening of an interactive exhibition «Zero Waste Beach» or Zero Waste Lab was in Novosibirsk on September 29th. This project is part of the global strategy of Coca-Cola «A World Without Waste», which is realized in Russia through the program «Separate with us». It is designed to help the city increase the proportion of waste that goes to recycling.

Visitors can learn about waste sorting rules, ecological lifestyle, and waste recycling problems in Russia in this exhibition. The exposition combines the stages of recycling waste, a recreation area, and a waste collection point with a bonus program to motivate visitors. Further, there is a coordinator at the exposition «Zero Waste beach», who can answer visitors’ questions about waste sorting. 

The opening ceremony was attended by Breus Roman Alexandrovich, Deputy Head of the Novorossiysk Municipality; Elena Kovaleva, Director of External Relations, Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility of Coca-Cola Company in Russia and Belarus; Savkova Darya, team leader of EcoTechnologies and Shilo Vladimir, general director of the regional operator «EcoYug».


Also, participants visited the Novorossiysk town’s central beach, where was installed double-flow containers for sorting waste under the project, as well as furniture made of recycled plastic.
